Podcast Listing Updates & T-shirt Preorder Arrives

This week, we updated our podcast shows across several major platforms, plus we’ve begun the shipping process for July’s T-shirt preorders. For more details, read on!

This week, we took care of updating Live and Meetup podcast listings, so now you’ll be able to find both programs listed by searching on platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart, and Deezer. The url for Live was updated, and Meetup is new to some of these platforms, so if you use any of these as your podcast go-to, consider adding our shows to your list!

Also this week, we received the Sakuya and Yukari T-shirts from the July preorder sale and have completed a full inventory and quality check. We want to make folks aware of a couple discrepancies we found which we’ll be looking into before finalizing shipment. First, we marketed and ordered screen-printed T-shirts, but our provider decided to “upgrade” us to a DTF printing method. The specific print they used, we believe, has a similar level of durability as a screen-printed shirt, but please be aware this is not what we intended to receive. The reasoning for this is likely due to the fact that the pre-order quantity was well below our goals, and DTF is easier (and cheaper) for setup compared to screen printing.

With that said, the quantities for the Sakuya and Yukari shirts reached 44% and 38% of our goals respectively. This forced us to compromise in order to make production financially viable. Though we were able to produce shirts, as a fundraiser, the preorder failed. Our internal goal was to raise around $600 to cover a large expense from a couple months back, but instead the sale made about $50 in profit which will immediately go towards covering shipping for Patrons and staff. In the end, we did not make any money from the T-shirt sale. The silver lining is that we did make some profit by coupling CD sales with T-shirt sales, so an extra thank you goes out to everyone who ordered CDs during the sale.

For anyone who wants to help support ongoing development, we’ve put together a support page that lists some ways you can help contribute. Please consider becoming a listener member via Indigo, Patreon supporter via LunarSpotlight Media, or by making a direct contribution to the radio station. Anything helps. That’s all for this week. Lots of shirt stuff to work on for next week, so stay tuned, and thanks for listening!
