This week, we had our 26th Meetup event where we talked about progressive web apps and how the development of our next mobile app can benefit from them, plus we picked up some additional translation languages and confirmed the return of previous volunteers. For more info, read on!
As we mentioned last week, we’re looking for volunteer translators to help translate v2 of our mobile app. Many existing strings from v1 can likely be reused, but we’ll have some new strings to run through, so if you’ve helped out before, let us know if you’re interested. So far, the following languages are confirmed to have volunteers ready and waiting for v2:
- Japanese (moriya_no_matsuei)
- Indonesian Malay, Bahasa Indonesia (Baryonyks)
- French (Tempest)
- Russian (Metahodos)
Sunday’s Meetup invited our listeners to learn more about PWAs in general as well as how we’re using them to build v2 of our mobile app. One of the key takeaways is that our next app should be more accessible to more listeners on more platforms. The event will become available as a podcast at a later date.
That’s all for this week, thanks for joining us during the Meetup, and thanks for listening!
