Gensokyo Store UI Refinement

Over the past couple weeks, we’ve been focused on the store website and have added a few new systems to help manage its content. We’ve also updated some styling across the store and have re-implemented product image galleries.

While most of the new systems won’t directly be seen by visitors, their primary purpose is to help manage content in terms of text, images, and embeds. After importing content from the old store version, there were a small handful of content issues to reconcile such as text formatting and audio embeds that were no longer getting converted into interactable players. We still need to go through most of the products and update the embeds, but the code that transforms the text into a player is already implemented.

Products which had multiple images associated with them now have galleries which can be clicked or swiped through. This is pretty self-explanatory, but this means that things such as T-shirts and CDs which may have multiple angles or sides to them may also have multiple images that visitors can look through.

Other more minor tweaks have been made to adjust the styling of product pages. This includes things such as font color adjustments, paragraph spacing, and perhaps most noticeably, table styling. There are still some minor adjustments that are needed with lists, but the current implementation should be an overall improvement.

Other than the store, we’ve got another Live broadcast coming up soon, so stay tuned for an event announcement and check the calendar via the Gensokyo Radio Discord server to be notified.

That’s all for this week, stay tuned for more updates coming soon, and thanks for listening.
