The next major site update for GensokyoRadio.net, “GSR5”, will be launched on March 1st, 2013*, as the image above indicates.
*As per my promise to Auritribe (where I said that development on GSR5 won’t go past February), the exact time the web server will be migrated is 10:00pm CST on February 28th, 2013. At that time, it’ll be March 1st in most parts of the world, so if that didn’t make sense before, it should now.
The update will cause downtime on the website (of course). The stream server may also be briefly affected as we will also be updating our playlists on the server with more than 300 new songs. Information from the current website database will take time to migrate, so it may be 1-2 hours before systems are fully back up and running.
We know you’ve been waiting a while for this update, so we’ll be rolling out our new avatar ahead of time at our next Gensokyo Radio Live show on February 15th. More info on that in a later post, so stay tuned!
